I've had a website, in some form or another, for about five years now. My original intention was to have a page of writing (not a pointless page about myself and my friends) which would be updated weekly. Several things have prevented that; in order, my adversities have been a lack of html knowledge, two servers closing down, an old computer having all its files erased and then being replaced, a new computer crashing (multiple times), and a lack of a good graphics program. The site has been through 3 different names: "The Grinch's Cave," "The Golden Spork," and now "A Stereotypical Weiner Joint." I've also had a few other assorted sites, some of which never made it online, due to problems similar to the ones listed above.
The problems I had with my sites have been fixed in the same order in which they appeared, and finally I have the means to update my site weekly. I hope to start doing this as soon as I have the entire thing on the new layout.
Plans:
I will be adding a links page, music page, peeves/ rants page, and possibly a guest book, although I have no friends and pretty much design pages for my own enjoyment. Also, I will be deleting anything I added last year during my web design class just to fill up space. Weekly updates will ensue but before that I will add any writing of mine (doubtfully anything by anyone else) and also add all the quotes and top 26 lists that were originally intended. The quotes may very well take a tremendous amount of time to catalogue and type because, as anyone who knows me can say, I have a butt-load and a half in all three of my quote books.
